The Spirit of the Olympics
This fairytale was written by Michael Ford especially for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games which sets science fiction, history and sports as one entity.
The book describes a grandfather taking two children by a giant teapot for a voyage back in time
– having a journey from old-time Olympic Games to modern Olympic Games.
The children are in person on the actual scenes in order to understand the true history of the Olympic Games
– and so that the spirit of the Olympics is portrayed as coming down in one continuous line.
